Opoual loves children: it’s the nice Yeti « not at all abominable », the mascot of Labellemontagne stations.

The Opoual Guide, go on an adventure with Opoual and his friends! OPOUAL offers all children from 6 to 11 years old its « Guide », in which they will follow, while playing, its adventures and those of its beautiful mountain. He introduces them to the mysteries of the mountains and the different professions in the resorts. He gives them advice on how to behave on the slopes and in the wild. Thanks to the OPOUAL Guide, children could well win the next snow trip for the whole family by participating in the new contest « Adopt the OPOUAL Attitude »: enough to put their parents in a good mood!

The guide is to be collected free of charge at the cash registers.

The Opoualand trail, « Prohibited to adults not accompanied by a child! »

The Opoualand universe is a fun and educational space entirely dedicated to children. The track is dotted with attractions (slaloms with raised bends, gantries, games of skill,…), and opportunities to discover while having fun all the mysteries of the mountain!

Imitate the Yeti’s cry, play the explorer, slalom between OPOUAL’s friends, aim OPOUAL with snowballs, sneak through tunnels! The echo of the mountains, the snow, not to mention the safety on the slopes: no more secrets for our little skiers!

Access included in the ski pass.

Sliding on the slopes from the age of one year old as the biggest is possible at Orcières Merlette 1850.

Several ESF instructors are offering babysnow this season. The snowscoot-like machine consists of a surfboard with a fixed handlebar at the front, a comfortable saddle and a handle to ride it all. Guided by an instructor or his parents, the snow baby runs down the slopes with his feet fixed to the board.

« Unlike the sled, the child is active here. He must manage his balance and lean into the turns at the same time as his guide, which makes it easier to drive. There is a real osmosis that is created between the adult and the child ». Explain the pilot monitors. In addition to delighting children, babysnow would be beneficial for learning to slide: « the child quickly familiarizes himself with the snow, apprehends speed less and quickly takes a good position ».

Orcières Merlette 1850 is currently the only resort in the Hautes Alpes to offer Baby Snow.
